{"id":4537,"date":"2019-07-04T06:15:24","date_gmt":"2019-07-04T06:15:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sindromecharge.es\/index.php\/2019\/07\/04\/presentan-un-exoesqueleto-para-ninos-con-paralisis-que-obedece-a-las-ordenes-del-cerebro\/"},"modified":"2019-07-04T06:15:24","modified_gmt":"2019-07-04T06:15:24","slug":"presentan-un-exoesqueleto-para-ninos-con-paralisis-que-obedece-a-las-ordenes-del-cerebro","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sindromecharge.es\/index.php\/2019\/07\/04\/presentan-un-exoesqueleto-para-ninos-con-paralisis-que-obedece-a-las-ordenes-del-cerebro\/","title":{"rendered":"Presentan un exoesqueleto para ni\u00f1os con par\u00e1lisis que obedece a las \u00f3rdenes del cerebro"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Leemos en 20minutos la siguiente noticia que os reproducimos de forma \u00edntegra: <\/p>\n<p>SERVIMEDIA<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>El proyecto del Hospital Ni\u00f1o Jes\u00fas de Madrid y el CSIC se probar\u00e1 en 120 pacientes.<\/li>\n<li>Este robot podr\u00eda estar en el mercado dentro de entre tres y cinco a\u00f1os.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn.20m.es\/img2\/recortes\/2019\/07\/04\/997056-620-282.jpg\" width=\"620\" height=\"282\" alt=\"Exoesqueleto\" \/><\/p>\n<p>El <strong>Hospital Infantil Universitario Ni\u00f1o Jes\u00fas de <a href=\"https:\/\/www.20minutos.es\/madrid\/\">Madrid<\/a><\/strong> ha iniciado un estudio multic\u00e9ntrico en el que probar\u00e1 un nuevo <strong>exoesqueleto<\/strong> de uso pedi\u00e1trico que obedece las <strong>\u00f3rdenes del cerebro<\/strong> del paciente y que est\u00e1 indicado para ni\u00f1os con <a href=\"https:\/\/www.20minutos.es\/minuteca\/discapacidad\/\"><strong>par\u00e1lisis cerebral<\/strong><\/a> que padecen alteraciones de la postura y del movimiento al caminar.<\/p>\n<p>Seg\u00fan inform\u00f3 este mi\u00e9rcoles en rueda de prensa el coordinador de la Unidad de Neuro-Ortopedia del servicio de Traumatolog\u00eda de este centro hospitalario, el doctor Ignacio Mart\u00ednez Caballero, el <strong>estudio multic\u00e9ntrico<\/strong> internacional que se llevar\u00e1 a cabo contar\u00e1 con un total de <strong>120 ni\u00f1os<\/strong>, de los que 10 son pacientes de este centro hospitalario.<\/p>\n<p>\u00abCreemos que cerca del <strong>70% de los ni\u00f1os<\/strong> con par\u00e1lisis cerebral se podr\u00edan beneficiar de este exoesqueleto, frente al 30% que no obtendr\u00eda ning\u00fan resultado por tener secuelas muy graves de la enfermedad. Este robot est\u00e1 indicado <strong>a partir de los seis a\u00f1os hasta los 18<\/strong>, aunque tambi\u00e9n se podr\u00eda aplicar a <strong>adultos<\/strong> que han sufrido un <a href=\"https:\/\/www.20minutos.es\/minuteca\/ictus\/\"><strong>ictus<\/strong><\/a>, por ejemplo\u00bb, indic\u00f3.<\/p>\n<p>Este nuevo exoesqueleto es un dispositivo que se adapta sobre el cuerpo del paciente con <strong>motores propios en rodilla, cadera y ajustes para el control del tronco<\/strong>. Su principal novedad, explic\u00f3 Eduardo Roc\u00f3n, investigador del Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Cient\u00edficas (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.20minutos.es\/minuteca\/csic\/\"><strong>CSIC<\/strong><\/a>), consiste en una nueva interfaz para la detecci\u00f3n de la actividad el\u00e9ctrica del cerebro que act\u00faa como se\u00f1al de activaci\u00f3n de los motores del robot.<\/p>\n<p>De esta manera se pretende entrenar la creaci\u00f3n de nuevas <strong>rutas causa-efecto <\/strong>entre la parte sana del cerebro da\u00f1ado y el aparato locomotor. \u00ab<strong>Cuando el paciente piensa en que quiere caminar, el robot se pone en marcha<\/strong>. Para ello, al paciente se le coloca un casco como si fuera un gorro de piscina con electrodos\u00bb, se\u00f1al\u00f3 el doctor Mart\u00ednez Caballero.<\/p>\n<p>La aplicaci\u00f3n de este dispositivo ha demostrado que los pacientes<strong> caminan m\u00e1s erguidos<\/strong>, tienen <strong>menos<\/strong> sensaci\u00f3n de <strong>cansancio<\/strong> y mayor <strong>fluidez de movimientos<\/strong>. Seg\u00fan destac\u00f3 este especialista, los ni\u00f1os con par\u00e1lisis cerebral tienden a andar hacia adelante.<\/p>\n<p>Los exoesqueletos est\u00e1n mostrando una mejora de la calidad de vida de estas personas. Por ello, el Hospital Infantil <strong>Ni\u00f1o Jes\u00fas<\/strong> va a formar parte de este ensayo multic\u00e9ntrico en el que participar\u00e1n <strong>10 ni\u00f1os<\/strong>, entre los que se encuentra Miguel, un adolescente de 15 a\u00f1os con par\u00e1lisis cerebral que ya ha sido intervendido quir\u00fargicamente.<\/p>\n<p>Su madre, Ana Bel\u00e9n, afirm\u00f3 que \u00abdespu\u00e9s de la cirug\u00eda, Miguel est\u00e1 mucho mejor pero sigue tendiendo a caminar hacia adelante. Por eso, estamos muy esperanzados con este exoesqueleto\u00bb.<\/p>\n<p>\u00abSi los resultados del ensayo son buenos, creemos que podr\u00edamos tener este robot <strong>en el mercado entre tres y cinco a\u00f1os<\/strong>\u00ab, puntualiz\u00f3 Eduardo Roc\u00f3n. Las pautas de tratamiento ser\u00edan de <strong>una hora al d\u00eda <\/strong>y tras<strong> 16 sesiones<\/strong> se comenzar\u00edan a comprobar mejor\u00edas en el paciente.
