I love this girl so much. Today we had an appointment with an internal specialist and an orthopedic surgeon. After taking new x-rays, it was determined that Annie&#8217;s injuries are several weeks old, meaning most of the breaks are already remodeling. It has been determined that she was somehow crushed as a newborn. The humerus bones (the biggest bones) in both front legs were broken. On the right leg, the bone was broken in half and the two pieces are now overlapping and fusing. In the left leg, the bone was broken in half and the two pieces aren&#8217;t even touching. Her femur was crushed on her back right leg and the bones are mangled, but remodeling. Her ribs were broken and her ribcage is now shallow, but they have healed. The injuries she sustained are horrific and the pain she must have endured is unimaginable. I&#8217;m sick thinking about it. On a positive note, because this happened weeks ago, they do not believe she is in much pain, maybe just in one leg. We have her on pain medication just in case. It&#8217;s too late to repair most of these injuries but we are discussing repairing her front left. Despite the agony this baby endured, she is happy and she is strong. We have a bit of a road ahead with rehab, but I&#8217;m not giving up on this girl. The worst is behind her, and now she just needs to continue to heal and learn to use those cute little legs. I can assure you all, that she is no longer suffering. El \u00faltimo, <strong>el pato Merl\u00edn, que naci\u00f3 con una <a title=\"Noticias sobre discapacidad\" href=\"https:\/\/www.20minutos.es\/minuteca\/discapacidad\/\">discapacidad<\/a><\/strong> que impidi\u00f3 que pudiera caminar.<\/p>\n<p>La organizaci\u00f3n le consigui\u00f3 una silla de ruedas dise\u00f1ada exclusivamente para \u00e9l, lo que le ha devuelto la independencia. \u00ab<strong>Ver a Merl\u00edn dar sus primeros pasos fue realmente genial<\/strong>\u00ab, coment\u00f3 Mikayla Feehan, trabajador de Handicapped Pets, empresa que proporciona las sillas de ruedas a los animales del santuario que lo necesitan.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>\u00abEn este momento,<strong> estamos en plena capacidad en nuestras dos ubicaciones<\/strong>. Somos el hogar de m\u00e1s de 60 cabras, ovejas, cerdos, pollos, un miniburro y un minicaballo. Ahora estoy rechazando a cabras necesitadas por falta de espacio y me est\u00e1 matando esta situaci\u00f3n.
